Historique :	Le cadre Renaissance, probablement commandé par Geoffroy de Pérusse des Cars, paraît avoir été réalisé vers 1530. L'auteur du tableau, daté de 1688, pourrait être Jérôme III Granaud dit Nilhaud ou, plus vraisemblablement, Jérôme II Granaud le Jeune ; le commanditaire pourrait être François de Pérusse des Cars. L'ensemble provient vraisemblablement de la chapelle du château.

Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre surdécorée (?) : il semble que la peinture ait été réalisée sur les planches déjà assemblées dans le cadre, peut-être sur une oeuvre plus ancienne. Le tableau a été restauré par Pierre Laure, le cadre par l'entreprise Marcel Maimponte, tous deux en 1984.
