Historique :	Malgré un format légèrement différent, ces deux tableaux su 17e siècle sont de la même main : leur facture est tout à fait semblable et ils relatent tous deux un épisode ayant trait à la vie du saint ermite Victurnien. Ils font pendant et ont certainement été offerts à l'église de Saint-Victurnien par Martial de Saint-Vincent, sénéchal du marquisat de Saint-Victurnien, dont les armoiries sont représentées en bas à droite de la toile de saint Victurnien guérissant un épileptique.
