Historique :	Cette statuette d'art populaire, représentant saint Jean-Baptiste tenant sa tête sur un plat, est attribuée au 16e siècle mais pourrait être plus récente.

Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint est debout, le pied droit nettement écarté. Il est vêtu d'un double vêtement en peau, dont les découpes irrégulières laissent voir le bas des jambes. Il place sa main droite devant la poitrine et tient de l'autre un plat rond et creux dans lequel est posée la tête tranchée. La tête est posée à plat, sur le côté gauche. Les yeux sont ouverts ; barbe bifide et moustache noires entourent la bouche. Les cheveux, également noirs, sont courts et traités en mèches.
