Historique :	Ce tableau de saint Jean de la Croix est une copie de la fin du 18e siècle ou du début du 19e siècle d'un tableau de Jean Joseph Taillasson réalisé en 1785 et conservé au Carmel de Limoges. Une autre copie est connue dans l'église de Thouron (par les soeurs de la Guéronnière).

Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre restaurée en 1983 par B. Tilmant d'Auxy. Chancis apparus depuis.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint, en habit monacal, s'accoude sur un meuble et tient une croix sur le bras gauche ; le bras droit est tendu en avant, les yeux baissés fixés sur la croix. Derrière lui, au mur, une étagère supporte des livres et un crâne.
