Historique :	Cet important ensemble (autel et ses 2 gradins, tabernacle et retable) du 17e siècle provient de l'ancien collège des jésuites actuellement lycée Gay-Lussac : il se trouvait dans la chapelle des écoliers, située au deuxième étage du corps de logis du 17e siècle, détruit. Il a été transféré dans l'église voisine Saint-Pierre-du-Queyroix à la révolution.
